JOB OPPORTUNITY: CHANCEL CHOIR DIRECTOR - Christ United Methodist Church, Davenport, is looking to fill this position for the traditional service.  Currently, the chancel choir sings 3 or 4 times each month from mid-August through the end of May. The position requires 4 to 6 hours per week with compensation ranging from $4,000 to $5,000 per year based on experience. Choir Robes to Donate - St. James Lutheran Church in Bettendorf would like to donate 29 dark brown choir robes with white stoles to a church choir. Various sizes for men and women. Grief Support Group at First Presbyterian Church, 777 25th Ave., East Moline, meets every other Tuesday morning from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Next meeting September 18. All adults are welcome, regardless of church affiliation.
